Slow Down the Aging Process With Exercise

Many of us would love to stumble upon a fountain of youth, or turn back the years, or even buy some enchanted cream we saw on an infomercial that promises restored youth. Unfortunately, the fountain of youth doesn’t exist, and creams are not that effective at slowing down the aging process. However, recent research has found that high-intensity interval training can have an effect on how we age. High-intensity interval training, or intense bursts of cardio, can include things like running, walking, bike riding, and other forms of cardio that can be done in short, intense bursts. Coupled with a healthy diet, researchers have found that the cells in the body will respond positively to this type of exercise and age slower. This is because this type of exercise increases the activity of the mitochondria in the cells, producing more energy in the body.
